Privacy Policy

Casalieve ("we", "us") is a household-management app built by a small independent team. This page explains what information Casalieve collects, why, and what your rights are over it.
What we collect
When you create an account, we store your name, email address, and password (encrypted, never stored in plain text). If you choose to add it, we also store your age. Everything else in Casalieve — items, categories, notes, the people and pets you add ("Subjects"), emergency contacts, and any calendar feed URL you connect — is data you and your household members enter yourselves, stored so the app can show it back to you and your household.
Connecting a calendar
If you paste your Google Calendar's secret iCal address into Settings, Casalieve reads (never writes to) that calendar to bring your events into the app. This is one-way only — Casalieve never modifies your Google Calendar. That address is treated as sensitive, like a password: keep it private, and you can revoke it at any time from Google Calendar's own settings.
How we use it
We use your information to run the app: showing your household its items and calendar, sending reminders (by push notification and, where enabled, email), and letting household members share and coordinate. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build behavioral profiles of you.
What we don't do
We don't run ads. We don't sell or share your household's data with third parties for their own purposes. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Services we rely on
A few third-party services help us run Casalieve: Resend delivers our transactional emails (invites, reminders); Stripe processes payment if and when billing is enabled for your account — we never see or store your card details directly; and, if you connect one, your calendar provider (e.g. Google) supplies the calendar data you've asked us to import. Each of these only receives the minimum information needed to do its job.
Children
Casalieve is intended for adults managing a household. A parent or guardian may store information about their children within the app (as "Subjects") — this is data entered by the adult account holder, not collected directly from a child.
Your rights
You can export your household's data at any time from Household settings. You can request that your account and its data be deleted by contacting us at the address below. If you're in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to access, correct, restrict, or object to our processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your household's data, other than what we're required to retain for legal or accounting reasons (for example, billing records).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
